So, Happy 2022.
If this is your first time here, welcome! If not, thanks for being a reader, I love y’all!
Instead of reflecting on last year in this post, I’m just going to talk about forward motion. Moving forward, moving on, just, moving in a direction away from where I’ve been. 2021 sucked for everyone, so, no need to dwell about it here, right now.
But, it’s a new year and I have a couple of cool things on my bucket list this year. Well, at least in terms of where I see this little blog going and some other writing things. Outside of this, I do have a couple of things so far I want to achieve, but, not a lot. And honestly, I’m ok with that. Y’all ready to hear them?!
First, I want to start posting more toy reviews. Which sounds much easier than it seems, at least for me. Believe it or not, I’m not in the mood for sexy times that often, including self-pleasure time. So when I’m not in the mood, I don’t feel like playing with any toys. The second issue is that one thing I really want to make sure I mention in my reviews is how long toys last. I’m sure there’s ways I can do this, like, just turn them on and go about my life. But I want to be as authentic as possible. Lastly, I am still a broke bish, and toys can add up, just to review them. Despite those little obstacles, I still do want to try to post more. On- hand, I probably have enough sex toy things to review for maybe a couple of months(with weekly posting), so, we’ll see.
Second, I want to start posting like, multi-part stories/posts. I actually have one that I started and should be posting the first part of it next week. It’s about the bro who helped me get my groove back. It lasted like a year, so putting everything in one post wasn’t about to happen. Aside from that story tho, I have way more moments that will take up multiple posts. Wild ass moments too. Y’all will enjoy them.
Another thing I want to do is start selling these little kits. Think travel kits, but for sexy times. I’ll share more in its own post, but I’m super close to making these things, and even got some extra cash, unexpectedly, so I think that’s a sign. I have what I want in them, where to source things(once the demand is there), the costs of what it’ll take me to make the kit, and what to sell it for to make a profit. Like, I did my homework. I even looked into if it was legal to sell things like this. I’m in this. I want to try to have these out before the end of this month, so, cross yo fingers!
Lastly, I just want to build this little brand of mine. I want to post weekly, in every topic. I want to post a toy review, a life story, and a sex story once a week. Posting to Instagram daily is something I also want to strive for too. Consistency is key, which I don’t have yet, it’s still being cut. But, I’ll get it eventually. I’ll spend more time writing, which tbh, is good for me( I wrote two poems about my ex last night and whew child, did I feel so much better). I actually enjoy writing too, obviously, and helping people. I also love talking about sex, it’s one of my favorite things. This, writing and building a brand of sorts, is what I want to do right now. Sure, my ADHD and mental things do get in the way of that, this, sometimes, but, I’m still here. There’s tools and tricks and tips out there, so I’ll get my shit together, eventually. Thanks for bearing with me while I do tho, y’all the real MVPs.
There you have it. My plans and goals for Inside the Nightstand right now. Doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s enough for right now and that’s fine by me. Plus, I still got non-blog things I want to achieve this year too. Yes, there is enough time in the day to do all the things I want to do, so don’t worry. But if 2020 and especially the last few months taught me anything, it’s to be kind to myself. Thriving is awesome, but what’s also awesome, surviving. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.
ps.
There’s going to be a giveaway in March!
